My work spans software engineering and leadership at Amazon Web Services, Commonwealth Bank and Optus. I help teams solve difficult software and platform problems, improve delivery and put AI-assisted engineering into practical use. I am available for projects, contracts and consulting. I am also open to the right permanent role with people I can learn from. 2. Selected projects and capabilities - AI-assisted development workshop | April 2026. Designed and ran a four-hour workshop for Devicie engineers through Secure Measure. Facilitated work on scoping, execution, verification and review, with demonstrations and a written synthesis. - Platform engineering and leadership | Commonwealth Bank (CBA). Built and operated a private-cloud container platform across approximately 1,200 physical servers. Progressed from Platform Engineer to Tower Lead. Led container strategy and up to five DevOps squads. - Windows AppShots | Independent engineering. Built Windows AppShots so coding agents could see and inspect the Windows apps I worked on. https://github.com/brianmulder/windows-appshots - Agent integration | Independent engineering. Integrated Codex, Claude Code and OpenClaw with browser and desktop automation on Windows and Linux. Used reusable skills, explicit access boundaries and end-to-end acceptance checks. - Distributed systems | Amazon Web Services EC2. Built and maintained regional capacity systems. Developed resource monitoring and automation to support highly available operations and new EC2 regions, including work on the Sydney buildout. - Engineering capability | Optus. Led engineering remediation following the 2022 cyber incident. Embedded platform product practices, controls-as-code, automated evidence and clearer service ownership. - Product engineering | Tessur. Co-founded Tessur. Built on-device assistant prototypes to help people and their agents check actions against their context and priorities. Used Rust/Tauri, TypeScript and Jev classifiers to screen risky disclosures locally and warn users. https://tessur.com/ 3.
